Second German Congress of Auxology, November 17–20, 2005
Apart from anthropological, paediatric and endocrine aspects, auxologists have increasingly been interested in preventive health care. Thus, obesity has become one of the major area of interest. The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Auxologie (German Society for Auxology) plans an interdisciplinary meeting on the various aspects of obesity. We want to stimulate current discussions, and initiate international co-operations.
In order to avoid parallel sessions, we will keep all oral presentations - apart from invited lectures - short (no longer than 10 minutes plus 5 minutes discussion), and we encourage participants to also prepare posters. Posters will additionally be presented as short (5 minutes) statements during the plenary sessions. The congress language is English.
The meeting will be held in the rooms of the Renaissance castle Glücksburg, Schleswig Holstein, Germany, from Thursday November 17th, to Sunday November 20th 2005. The congress fee will be EUR 290.00. The fee includes all meals and beverages between Thursday evening (get together) and Sunday morning breakfast, and the banquet and the concert. Day tickets are available. Reduced congress fee (EUR 270.00) will be offered to participants who register, and pay before July 1st, 2005. Hotels are available in the immediate vicinity of the castle. If you wish to book in advance, please contact the congress secretariat ( email@example.com).
